The vacancy is in the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA),
which applies British Immigration and entry clearance requirements to
visitors and longer-term workers and/ or settlers in the United Kingdom.
UKBA processes visa applications in accordance with British Government
requirements in order to prevent illegal entry and to agree limits and
conditions. Our aim is for Filipinos and other applicants who are traveling
to the UK to say that they have been dealt with in a professional manner.

Job Description
The position’s primary
responsibilities will work closely with UKBA Management team and will
acts as an effective manager of the Visa Section’s Assessment Unit and
information services. Ensuring that visa-processing procedures are properly
applied and implemented smoothly and with accuracy. To liase closely
with our Commercial Partner to ensure that service standards are met.
Directly overseeing Manila’s section managers. Salary for this position
will depend on skills and experience This position requires a level
of security clearance from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London
and successful completion of a training course. A confirmed offer can
only be given to a candidate able to obtain such clearance and pass
the course.

- Manage time well, organize and Priorities workload
- To properly analyze and use evidence
- IT skills and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office package
- Willingness to contribute to a developing team
- Able to take instructions, work unsupervised and at all times work effectively and productively
- Applicants must be fluent in English, both orally and written
- Knowledge of previous (UK) Visa work and/or (UK) Law Enforcement legislative process would be beneficial
